To submit an idea, please click the Submit New Idea button at the top of the navigation sidebar. You will then be asked to add a title and choose a campaign for the new idea. You will also have the option to add tags to the idea. To vote on an idea, simply click the up or down arrows to the right of the idea title/description. And to add a comment, click in the box below the idea.

If you would like to see all ideas created with a specific tag, you can click on the word or phrase via the tagcloud in the navigation sidebar area under "What we're discussing". You can also view ideas sorted by Campaigns from the right navigation area. To return to this page, click the All Ideas link.

Open public sector data and information

The only exceptions for the non-disclosure of Government information should for very limited circumstances

a) The information could lead to the injury or death of a New Zealander. b) Information that if released prematurely would damage the economy and thus should wait for official release even though that may take some time. c) Information that is not the governments to reveal. (Private data)

Transparency in political offices

The Bill of Rights should become superior law

The Bill of Rights should become superior law. Legislation passed by Parliament could then be struck down by a judicial mechanism if it is found to be inconsistent with the Bill of Rights - a basic safety valve for a Open and transparent government. That citizens should know and understand they have these rights as part of a “democratic community” and that a government or court cannot repress.
